Wednesday for us Americanos. After sleeping in until about 1000, we got up and decided to go to the beach today. We didn’t get a ton of sleep because our rolling A/C decided to leak on the drip pan and we were worried about it leaking onto the floor, so we got up a couple of times to empty it in the middle of the night. We actually bailed on the A/C today because it doesn’t really make that much of a difference in the room temperature and the regular fan feels much better.
We took the tranvia to the Playa de San Juan because the locals told us it was less busy than Postiguet. Postiguet is really close to the apt., but is really crowded. We sat in the sun on an almost empty beach and swam in the surf. The water is really clear and warm. We walked along the waterfront and sat at a cervezeria and tried the Estrella. I am not much of a beer person, actually a beer wimp, but Roger likes beer. We have tried the Amstel and San Miguel beers and I like the San Miguel the best so far. At least the Estrella was cold and cheap!!
We were pooped after that and rode home, made a salad, ate and watched reruns of ‘Medium’ on the laptop. We haven’t found any English TV channels yet. We did sleep in the living room to see which room was cooler to sleep in.
I forgot to mention we also tried a bottle of wine that we bought for 1E with dinner. It was pretty good for a buck.
